BIOGRAPHY

born in the city of sunspear in dorne, maryse martell is the third oldest child of deria and aderyn martell, the ruling princess of dorne and her consort. her two elder siblings, twin brothers named kedry and emery, were overjoyed to have a younger sibling. maryse was not the heir to the sun court, dorne's royal court, but she was much beloved by her parents and the people of dorne just the same. when the younger of the twins, emery, gains a fascination with the kingsguard of king's landing, he starts his training to become his older twin's sworn protector, and therefore gives up his spot in the succession, moving maryse to second in line for the sun throne.at the age of 20, maryse martell is married off to aegon targaryen in 40 AC, the son of aenys the first, and grandson of aegon the conqueror. maryse found it difficult to blend into the court, especially as her primary language was dornish, and she spoke poor high valyrian. however, she became much loved by the smallfolk, and she often took time to visit and speak with those that come to petition the king, her father- in - law, king aenys.when it came time to make potential heirs, maryse was surprised to find out that while her husband aegon was a flirt with the ladies at court and elsewhere, he had different preferences when it came to sharing his bed. he, in fact, only had eyes for kedry, maryse's older brother who had escorted her to king's landing. surprisingly, maryse takes this in stride. she plays the perfect wife and queen - to - be, but behind closed doors, a particular kingsguard catches maryse's attention.when maegor the cruel announces his claim to the throne and attacks king's landing, maryse is three months pregnant. her husband aegon die's above the god's eye, and her eldest brother kedry dies in the battle below, maryse is sheltered off towards sunspear by some loyalists to aegon and his claim. on the trip to dorne, maryse has an early pregnancy and a stillbirth. the child, notably, is said to have a head of dark hair. maryse lives the rest of her life in sunspear.


  AU. THE GREEN DANCE  as houses across the realm declare for the greens or the blacks, maryse's mother deria makes a decision. as a girl, maryse was expecting to marry a third baratheon son, but soon gets shipped out to king's landing to treat with aegon ii, and in particular, his younger brother aemond targaryen, the one - eyed prince. she's sent with an escort, a distant relative of the targaryen prince, haedon targaryen, the bastard son of saera targaryen (@/valarforged).she is at first unsure of her new betrothed: an eyepatch, a sword at his belt, a cold and intimidating demeaner. he seems to be on just as uneven ground. maryse tries to get on aemond's good side, and does spend at least a few moments a day with the prince. these moments turn into half - hours, and then many hours. she teaches aemond her native language of dornish, he corrects her high valyrian. vhagar, aemond's dragon, also comes to enjoy the dornish princess's presence.surprisingly, aemond targaryen and maryse martell are a true love match.after the death of aegon ii's son, jaehaerys, maryse is already three months pregnant. while she's overjoyed with this information, the ecstatic nature of the common folk's "dornish rose" does not last long. baelon targaryen lives for only a few hours. heartbroken, the couple refuse to have another child.aemond dies towards the end of the dance, and maryse is ushered back to sunspear, living the rest of her life heartbroken, but safe.


  AU. THE BLACK DANCE  jacaerys velaryon is sent down to dorne on a diplomatic mission to secure dornish aid for his mother. it does not take long for maryse and jace to fall in love, and maryse willingly goes with jace back to dragonstone for the remainder of the dance. only weeks later, after lucerys' death, does maryse begin to show signs of being with child, just as the war becomes inevitable.   GAME OF THRONES  AU.   taking place during the war of the five kings, maryse is the younger sister of doran martell. ( more to be written. )  THE HUNGER GAMES AU.   born underneath the factory smog of district eight, maryse martell has lived most of her life working in the warehouses and factories of her home. a talented seamstress, along with her mother's guiding hand, maryse spent hours from the age of ten and up sewing and creating those fabrics that she would never be able to wear.when she turns fourteen, her older brother kedry gets reaped into the 70th games, and dies by the hand of the district one boy only two days into the games. he'd been left for dead, and maryse, kedry's twin, emery, and her parents had to watch him die painfully. there was nothing to be done, and when the district seven boy came across kedry, the cannon fire that followed was a mercy.when district eight gets bombed in the rebellion six years later, both emery and maryse's father are killed. maryse and her mother are saved as one of the few survivors of the bombing, and brought to thirteen to wait out the rest of the rebellion underground.

aurane targaryen, younger twin brother of aegon ii, is usually known more colloquially as the prince's shadow. aurane never had an interest in the iron throne. he preferred to drink and visit the brothels -- or occasionally learn sword - fighting along with his brothers and ser criston cole.many in the court whipser that he is perhaps more hightower than targaryen, as he's given his mother's dark brown hair instead of the silver valyrian variety, and he doesn't bond with a dragon until he is fifteen. for comparison, all of his siblings bond with their mounts years earlier. even after gaining a dragon, one named syndor, with black scales, grey accents, and black eyes, aurane was never one for flying, unlike his brother and his dragon, sunfyre. though, don't be fooled. aurane may be a hightower in looks, but is a targaryen in attitude.aurane was never one for settling down. he didn't agree with the iea of marriages, and many women that his mother tried to show him had become boring for him, and even though they all fell over themselves to make the prince happy, he would brush them off all the same.and then, there was myrielle ( @/ironf0rged ). she was lively, witty, and at first, just a plaything. and that went both ways -- myrielle, tyland lannister's bastard, also saw the prince as an easy pastime. they were happy to keep it that way, but feelings quickly grew beneath the surface.after blood and cheese break into the red keep, and aurane's nephew jaehaerys was slain, both of them realize that in this time of war, life was too short. they fall in love soon after. while they could never get married, neither were sold on the idea of it anyways.a few months later, aurane, on his dragon syndor, chases after aegon and sunfyre to rook's rest. their brother aemond, along with vhagar, manage to take down rhaenys and meleys, but not before aegon and sunfyre were taken out of the sky. rumors abound that aurane was to be the next king, believing aegon to be dead, or soon to be, due to his injuries. aurane did not want the throne, but unlike his brother running from the responsibility, he would accept it, if forced to.myrielle, knowing aurane's aversion to rule, suggests to run away together to essos, where they could get married and escape the pressures of royalty. aurane denies her, and it's said the couple had a long, heated discussion, the contents of which is relatively unknown. what is known is that myrielle, a few weeks later, marries a lord from the riverlands. she gives birth to a son with dark hair later that year. ( her new husband, noticeably, did not have dark hair. )when crison cole and aemond head to the riverlands, aurane follows on syndor, not willing to let his younger brother fight this battle by himself. when daemon takes over harrenhal with caraxes, wanting to take on aemond and vhagar, it is aurane who decides to take the fight on syndor. this was believed to be for two reasons. one: vhagar was the greens' biggest asset. if she were to die or lose the ability to fly, it would be devastating. the second reason: aemond is aurane's younger brother. despite all of the fighting they did in years' past, aurane would not let aemond put himself in that much danger against their uncle.aurane targaryen, twin brother to aegon ii, the king's shadow, dies above the god's eye on his dragon syndor, at the age of twenty and six. it is said he went gladly to his death, as daemon and caraxes were also killed.

VERSES

  THE KING  
AU.   a survival au. after aurane is found and rescued from the god's eye, he is recovering slowly during the end of the dance. when he wakes and fully recovers, he finds he is now the only true candidate for the throne. full verse information here.

  SHIP VERSE: WOLF AT HEART  
AU.   against all of aurane's wishes, he is sent off to winterfell before his brother's due coronation. the greens need allies, and fast, and sansa stark was the best option for the north to be on aegon's side. so, aurane goes, but not happily. he soon finds that sansa stark is very different than what he is expecting, and the north, while endless and vast, did have a tranquility about it that aurane soon comes to appreciate.sooner than later, he falls in love with winterfell, the north, and its people. he has no desire to speak of politics, or to even force sansa into any sort of arrangement. instead, aurane becomes suprisingly carefree -- a different person altogether than who he is in king's landing. he and sansa soon fall in love.at the news of his nephew's death, aurane and sansa head back to king's landing. the stresses of being back home weighs on aurane heavily, and he finds himself drinking more, spending time with his brothers, handling their wide range of emotions the best he can. sansa, after she and aurane have a rough wedding night filled with more arguments than love, eventually comes to support aurane.when aurane leaves with aemond, sansa is pregnant with their child, a son she eventually names ciaran.


  SHIP VERSE: THE LION'S CAGE  
when aurane is promised to cerelle lannister, he thinks it is nothing more than a partnership he never wanted. he’s slow to her side, and is not in love with her. at least, not right away. that takes time, and cerelle’s seemingly careful and hesitant nature does little to endear him to her.it takes a war for them to come together, and it is the war that tears them apart. when aurane realizes he is in love with cerelle, and wishes to keep her safe above all else – and especially when she falls pregnant with twins – it is altogether too late. he follows aemond to harrenhal, and then, faces daemon at the god’s eye. He had no intentions on dying, but when word gets back to cerelle and her newborn baby girls, she is spirited back to the lannister home of casterly rock, where she raises her twin girls. one is the exact image of aurane, and the other, their mother, but each inherit the targaryen nature.abiding by her late husband’s wishes, cerelle raises her girls carefully, and instructs them in high valyrian, to honor the father they never knew. cerelle herself never remarries, and demands she be cremated, to join aurane underneath the god’s eye waves.  THE HUNGER GAMES AU.   born to a well known family of district two, aurane volunteers for his younger brother daeron at eighteen. his arena is a desert, where the only saving grace from the sun are the underground caves. his district partner, thirteen year old quartz, dies on the fourth day from a mutt bat bite. when the sand settles, aurane emerges as the victor.he's quickly sold alongside the likes of finnick odair, but his harsher, bad boy attitude leads him to be less popular -- until, soon, people stop asking for his company. by the time the rebellion begins and aurane is thrown into the 75th, he's ready for revenge against the capitol, more out of anger than any hope of changing the world.

  PRELUDE  The first thing that Kaito remembers is waking up in a meadow. He's burned and scorched and in pain, with no memory of how he got there. Eventually, he's discovered by a group of elves that worship Lathander, the elven god of the dawn. They take him in, feed him, and house him in return for Kaito's help in working for the village. It must have been an odd sight -- an asmodeus tiefling suffering from amnesia in amongst these light elves.Eventually, Kaito meets and falls in love with Keisuke Xiloscient, one of the light elves. He's kind and caring and good - natured, and Kaito, still unsure of himself and his background, loves him dearly. They get married in mid - summer, surrounded by the village, who cheer as they get their marriage tattoos.Weeks later, and Kaito returns to the village after a trip away, and finds the entirety of the small town burned and razed to the ground. Bodies of family and friends lay strewn across the ground, and as Kaito enters his and Keisuke's little hut, he finds his husband dead, and robbers raiding his body. Kaito kills his love's murderers, and there's an odd glee in doing so that Kaito is not expecting. He has no time to mourn. A ship breaks through the sky.  BALDUR'S GATE 3  Kaito goes through most of acts one, two, and three as in the game's canon for a resist durge. He avoids and denies these dark urges that plague him. Until Keisuke starts visiting him in his dreams, and Kaito is overwhelmed with seeing his lost love, that he does not question what is being asked of him.Until Act 3, when the emperor finally admits who he is, showing that he has tricked Kaito and played on his feelings. Kaito, in revenge, decides to give into his urges, and decides, all at once, that a world that takes his love away from him is not a world that deserves to be free, at all.
